| 2006: Heavy extrication- The fire personnel struggled for over an hour to extricate this individual, who was very lucky to survive. Individual ended up in the back seat of this crew cab, and the outcome would have been dismal if he didn't have the extended cab. This is a perfect example of advancement in the design of vehicles saving lives. The compact truck was pinned against a large tree and had numerous small tress on top of it, besides all of the intrusion/deformity it sustained, making this one of the most difficult extrications that I have ever witnessed. * ALL pictures taken POST-extrication for respect to the patient and confidentiality issues* |
